The Georgia Lakes Society is a non-profit organization promoting the understanding, protection, restoration and comprehensive management of lakes, reservoirs, wetlands, and their watersheds.

Membership in GLS is open to anyone with interest in lakes, and includes both professionals and interested citizens.

GLS Lake University workshops bring a wide variety of lake-related education to homeowners and lake-maintenance professionals alike.

In cooperation with the GA Dept. of Natural Resources Adopt-A-Stream program, Georgia Lakes Society has initiated the Adopt-A-Lake program to coordinate statewide monitoring of lakes and ponds.
